    Hello friends.

What do you think of this Ledermantel? It is very strange Ledermantel for me. I can't find a photo of the same coat, when it was wearing. The lining is similar to the corduroy which was used for production of a political caps. The coat has no buttons. Only a carabiner as a clasp, plus belt. The skin is dark brown. No any labels. It's a mystery to me.

    Regards
    Mig

A nice-looking coat, likely a privately purchased piece...

Sorry, but I hadn't bought that rag. IMO a dubious item. The Dealer will be happy to have finally sold that thing, it probably lay around in his Warehouse like lead for Ages, collecting dust.

The buttonless type, secured only by an internal jigger strap and external belt (often with two sliding buckles), is an approved pre-war private purchase item, replaced early in the war by a regulation model. Many of the private purchase coats remained in service.

Yes, an interesting model without buttons, with only one carabiner on the strap. This is the first time I've seen the coat like this model. The material inside is similar to that of the Visor caps. It is just as soft and has a pile.
