Looks OK,here`s mine for comparison.

Look at the reinforced backing cloth. I think you will find the thread used is synthetic.

I checked with a blacklite and it does not glow or accent the threading. Is there anything else I can do to verify?
You could try and do a burn test. Original wartime thread will burn away to ash. Modern thread will burn into a hard plastic ball.

Eagle does not look good to me i have never seen one like this !!

I vote no, sorry. Not only the backing, but how the Eagle was stitched. I know there are many variations, but this one is a little to "sharp". If you took a chance for $10 don't feel bad. Continue to learn and post in forum!!!!
Odd that it wouldn't glow though..
