Hi guys, Just thought i would post up one of my recent pick ups for reference. I have been after one of these for a while & my main criteria was to find one not made by Assman ( my main reason for this being A. There seem to be a lot of them around B. as we know the Assman eagles have been faked to a very high degree C. To try & find one by another maker of which seem to be rather thin on the ground ) This Luftwaffe officers breast eagle, for me , fits the bill. Attributed on some sites to Friedrich Linden Lüdenscheid (although not proven on others) This eagle is made from cupal i.e. copper sandwiched between aluminium . If you look at the picture of the rear on the eagles tail, you can see the copper peeking through where the aluminium has worn. The pin hinge & clasp are mounted on oval pads that have then been afixed to the eagles rear. Hope you like it as much as me. Regards Paul.
