To be honest, it is practically worthless junk. It is a post war West German Luftwaffe tunic which someone has tried to make into a wartime version.

Moments like this one make you realize how difficult it is to be a big collector in this domain,but also to apreciate much more, items you see in the colection of the true colectors ; and if you think it is cheap, well, there you have it... The price for this tunic is 300 euro, and since they all are above 1000, I was pretty happy.
Pretty happy I'm also at this very moment, when I truly realize (not for the first time) how wonderful this forum is; for a beginner like me, thanks to people whose experience in this domain is bigger than my age, this militaria passion is on the right road, not to mention SAFE!

Not worthless... the collar tabs are WW2 period. I think that the shoulder straps could be as well!

I don't know, Paul. The seller tried a few more times and... I don't know, maybe he succeeded.

You were better off not buying this tunic for more than 50 Euro. The insignia is worth about 75Euro to me as a collector, independently.
