Hi all. I picked up a M36 tunic that was stripped of cloth insignia. I want to rebuild it into a Gefreiter or lesser rank tunic (infantry). I am seeking the early Army eagle, basic infantry Litzen and Sew on shoulder boards. Anyone holding out?

Hasnt it shadows after officer tabs Sir?

If so then i will kindly recommend you to at least try to restore it into as close as possible it may have looked like in its ww2 usage. If you want a gefreiter jacket, then use this as a part trade from someone that has a gefreiter jacket for you, or a stripped jacket with traces after gefreiter etc insignias.

    Lol Rene,
    Time for new glasses .
Funny thing is I can see the shadows clearly with those photos , yet my eyesight is poor .
I have to take my glasses off so I can read stuff , and can pick it clearly .
    Go figure
    Cheers Rick

Not really I was only commenting on the collar tab ghosting & leftover thread pieces

An issue EM tunic re-tailored for an officer could show the following characteristics: pointed dark green collar, two collar hooks, removed belt suspension hook cloth hangers, darts on the back, added french cuffs and a shortened skirt. Look for some of these features on your jacket.

The absence of the French cuffs makes me believe this is enlisted.

    Thank you for the list.
