I would like to hear Your helpful opinions regarding these GD shoulder boards, are they even original?!?
If yes- what rank/unit used these.
Sorry gentleman, but my knowledge in this field is very small, so You would help me a lot as allways.

The rarity lay in the cypher, and many original boards have been doctored up with GD over the years.
I believe there are a couple slight variations in design, but they are usually very detailed.
Note the closed bottom sweep on the D and the wide connection between the letters.
I'm not liking the details.

There are 9 known variations of gd cyphers, all differ slightly.
The pair you show are known as the type 4.
Shown in scott pritchetts book großdeutschland uniforms and insignia.
