Pith helmet, real or fake?

What are your thoughts on this one? Is it real or fake? I don't known about the "germany" stamp.
The googles, are they English?

I think it's good. The stamp is seen on many examples, and as I understand it was required for a period of time when large quantities of these were sent to the States after the war. The stamped examples that I have seen all look to be unissued, and as I understand it, large quantities were shipped in bulk and were stamped when imported. Of course, I could be wrong.

GERMANY, it is a stamp used for export after the war! to show country of origin. very popular in the 1960's. right as rain. JMHO.

They look like war time goggles to me.
My grey ones have a brown elastic, I'm sure there were variations.
