Tätigkeitabzeichen (Speciallist patch ID needed)
Hello friends, a fellow collector is having trouble identifying the branch of service associated with this Funker patch. The green backing does not look like Heer to me. Perhaps it is from some other service like Police or Fire? I have consulted the Brian Leigh Davis book Badges & Insignia of the Third Reich and the closest thing I saw is from rural police or Gendarmerie. Any assistance will be appreciated. Thanks, Neil
I know this is not a "sexy" item with hooked crosses on it but maybe someone has an idea? NH
The top image is not sharp enough to see much detail.
I’m guessing it has hand-sewn chain-stitch edging to a standard machine embroidered badge, or is that a twisted cord?
