Tabs are bad. Eagle I'm not crazy about either but I'll defer to insignia specialists.

My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

Been a small time collector for over 30 years.Travel to Europe often and am always on the lookout.
Purchased a bit of stuff from a antique dealer in the north of Germany and this tunic was there.
I am sure it is not what it is portrayed to be but interesting enough for me to buy it.
Material and buttons look correct, definitely old,not new and aged.
What is wrong with the tabs?
What branch are the collar tabs?
Hello,
The collar tabs are 1st pattern einheits tabs made by the machine weaving process in 1938. These tabs were also made with branch colors. For some reason they didn't catch on with the Heer but the Police used this style. The breast eagle is a fine original late war embroidered Heer eagle.

Hello,
Here are 4 examples of the collar tabs made by using the high speed weaving process.

Hello,
Just from the small pictures of the tunic I am not impressed by the sewing , or the material. A complete tunic shot of inside and out with marks would be helpful.
