Uncertain - Heer Artillery Officer's Geschönte-Feldbluse, Oberleutnant-Waffenmeister

Hello friends,

I hope you can help with this one, an at-first-glance rather fine artillery officer's Geschönte-Feldbluse which caught my eye. I've been wanting a nice parade-quality artillery tunic to go with my officer's cap, but I think I see some problems with this one. Namely, that the collar-tabs and shoulder-boards are of the wrong pattern for this tunic. Am I right in thinking that it should have the waffenrock-style tabs and boards, with full-colour waffenfarbe backing and bright, shiny silver bullion? Or am I missing something? Also, it appears to be missing the piping to the cuffs.

Am I right to walk away, as was my first instinct?

Yes, you are right. You should buy a straightforward Waffenrock instead.

I thought as much - thanks for confirming! This is the second ornamented tunic I have looked at with this issue; must be plenty of 'restorers' out there in need of doing some research.
