Well, I’ve got this unknown insignia, which I guess belongs to some sort of German ground crew, possibly from the eastern front.
I’m really would like to know which unit is belonged to. I guess it’s a sleeve patch of some sort.

I don't think this is German at all, never seen one before.

Hi, and welcome to the forum!
Not WW2 German to the very best of my knowledge.
Clearly it does appear to be mechanic related, but what nationality and time frame I do not know.
Cheers, Ade.
Well’ I’ve got it from Russia, from a friend who’s into WW2 restoration/memorabilia, along with other bunch of things (rusty toy soldiers, lion decoration taken from unknown origin etc.). As a former helicopter electrician myself, the origin of this piece really important to me. I’m not an expert myself, but it doesn’t look Soviet for that matter. Could it be eastern European? Too bad there’s no date or text on it.
I think East German might be a better bet.
Quickly enough I found that sleeve patch, which resembles the one I have.

The one in the link is East German, but the first one posted does not look the same. The top part of the insignia resembles the Chinese archways of old??
Tom
It is East German as well, from the series of Dienstlaufbahnabzeichen (Occupational Specialty Badges) used from the mid-sixties on. This one is for Fliegertechnische Versorgung [Aviation-Technical Supply].
