    If you want to buy one of these go for one on green backing, either woollen or bevo. There are some that think these patches are ok and some that don't. I have owned one and while the thread and style look good I'm not a fan of them. I used to collect variations of both Gebirgsjaeger and Jaeger patches and I have never once seen a period photo of a feldgrau one being worn or even a used patch that I can remember. I'm sure others will disagree though

    Hello,
    Try to ask for better photos. IMO These ones are crap.

    The embroidered version on both dark green or gray was meant for privately purchased tunics.
    I personaly removed one embroidered on gray from an Officer privately purchased tunic that was in very poor condition.
    No doubt for me that the ones embroidered on gray backing were period worn.
