ww2 german over coat?
Hello. I found this overcoat for sale. The owner thinks it's ww2 possibly Weimar Republic. I don't know a whole lot about over coats generally speaking. The brass colored buttons are marked with the Assmann and Friederich Linden mark (according to him). anyone have a thought?

I'm guessing that it's a West German police great coat?
I wondered about that because of the lack of any markings. But I have collected a lot of west german stuff, not any coats, but all my tunics and such are the aluminum smooth and pebbled buttons.
Going to need to see the rear of the buttons. The cut of the GC to me is not a WW2 army one (M40) and the colour of the pictures are tricky to discern. Assmann buttons wont be found on the DDR counter part.
and thats the tunic I looked at first. I got out my grenztruppen ddr tunic for comparison. I'll see if I can get a pic of the back of the buttons.
the pics don't show it well but it's a deep green.
Hard to tell, could be like this WG colour?
