    Default E.Pack army daggers and their Logo's - E.Pack Heeresdolche und Logo's

In this thread i'll give an overview of E.Pack army daggers and the logo's they used.
The initial E.Pack army daggers have a type 1 or type 2 guard with slant grip.
(There is a very small batch of Packs having a heavily enhanced WKC type 1 guard, so far I only am aware of 3 pieces worldwide so far) they have the type 1 logo, the simplest style)
This first style logo has 4 different sjablones and i have called them 1, 1b, 1c and 1d.
The differences are quite clear between these 4 (although there are a few more minor differences on the first style logo's, i will keep it to these 4.)
The latest one, the 1d has also a different letter font, which almost covers the entire width of the blade, being 3 mm wider then the other 3 styles.
This is an overview of the Pack logo's

These first style logo's can be found on the early E.Pack daggers with type 1 & 2 guards and on the type 2 Aluminium fitted daggers.
The 5th picture from above shows the Pack dagger with WKC type 1 enhanced guard.

On the picture you can see the difference in letter font between type 1, 1b, 1c and the larger type 1d.

On the aluminium type 2a guards the first logo is applied on almost all of them, so far only a few early aluminium guards have the rare Siegfried logo without the arch.
This is the aluminium type 2 guard

There is always one exception to the rule, in this case it is the aluminium type 2 having a slant grip and no dots in the pommel, just a plain type pommel.
It bears the SA/SS style logo.
So far only 2 are known.

Here we have the rarest standard logo on Pack armies, the Siegfried logo without the arch.
(not including the SA style logo, as this seems to be a 1 batch applied one)
this logo has only been used for a very short period, this period also shown the shortness of material when the restrictions of using any more messing for not war production related goods.
They tried to replace the messing guards of type 1 & 2 for aluminium and inbetween they bought a batch of generic guards and applied this inbetween style logo.
No other period showed a Pack army dagger with non Pack fittings.
On the right the Pack fitted Generic type B fittings.

The latest Pack logo is the well known Siegfried Logo with arch, common on the Pack type 3 guard.
This guard is commonly found with potmetal parts, being aluminium with a trace of Zinq, with a silver surface finish that turns black and easily came off.
The ones that do not have that silver finish look like being made of aluminium but a grey dull colour is always there, dealers normally advertise these ones as aluminium, which they are not.
The true aluminium ones are as rare as hence teeth and next to each other the difference is clear.
On the left the aluminium type 3 guard on the right the standard type 3, which is the most common Pack dagger.

And here you can see the guard with worn off silver finish, you can see that the aluminium colour has a dull appearance and can not be mistaken for real aluminium.

    Aluminium Type 2A Guards.
Here you see the different types of hand enhancement that Pack did on their guards.
Note the dot pattern behind the swastika on the second guard on the right.
