Heer Army Dagger E&F Horster Dagger Post War?
There is a heer army dagger coming up for sale and it is marked E&F Horster with solingen under it horizontaly on the blade. It does not have the double oval with the logo inside of it like i have seen on all the others E&F Horster daggers, would that make it post war? Thanks, Robert

It is fine, the dagger is of course a minature.
Cheers, Ade.

Besides the de-nazification of course! I mean the scrolling looks a little different..probably a different maker.

Yeah the cross gaurd on my full size one is also more detailed than the minature.

I dont see a defaced eagle or swastika, if it had then i would say most of the value would be gone, also i was under the impression that some miniatures were not supplied with portapees, i believe this included the Army Heer dagger, as for details and construction, all the miniatures were exempt from RZM inspection, therefore variations on all daggers will be apparent, including quality and sizes, also there were no hangers made for any of these except a rare 1936 Himmler presentation dagger with its own case and hanger chain. But beware there are fakes out there
and quite well made
i did see the defaced full sized version so ignore my initial comment
and quite well made
