    Hi all,

Just wondered if this dagger is a period piece. From my research it’s ticking the right boxes but I’m no expert. I know it’s not in the best condition but I quite like that about period pieces.

Tony this is the only type Pack dagger that can be found with non Pack parts and still be original assembled.
No parts of your dagger are made by Pack besides the blade.
It has the rare transitional logo, Siegfreid without the arch.
I have a similar one with same pommel and guard, although mine has a Pack scabbard.

There was a short time in production when messing was no longer allowed for non army production (mid 1936) and the producers had to switch to aluminium and zink-potmetal.
Even Pack & Eickhorn produced small batched with generic parts.
