I hope you don't mind me gate crashing your thread with this example. Sadly any marks have gone and the leather is thin and fragile. My only Belgian casque I wanted one in my collection to acknowledge little Belgiums part in WW2, the Lion that roared.
Thanks yours is an M15 interwar example. So repainted after WW1 and used up to and during our 18 days campaign in WW2.

White colour for local Belgian police.

My mistake, I should have compared helmets earlier. The difference is bigger than I thought.
Some close-ups of my Belgian helmet
I had to show it to my friend as the leather stamp and color is unfamiliar to me and he says you have a French liner in your helmet , he also says the shell is French.
He is very knowledgeable on the subject.

Sorry to say but indeed a French shell and liner with Belgian lion badge attached. Key giveaway is the curved front end of the comb and the shape of the shell which is more flat on the outside for the Belgian m31.

There are some similar "Belgian" helmets on other forums. It says that they are made in France, but on order from Belgium. Before Belgium created its own M31 helmet.
