Posted this already in an earlier thread : intriguing to see how the lion looks less agressive in this ww1 Belgian adrian. His face changed in ww2 as if he wanted to say : 'not again !'

Yes the evolution is interesting Erwin , also all the WW1 were French produced. Sometimes you will find WW1 shells that still have the French blue in the dome.

My eye noticed the difference(see my picture) in the shape of the helmet. French M26 with Belgian badge?
I have one Belgian helmet like this.

Size , maker can make the size look different. You can see the difference even between the three I posted.
They are all M31's as stated.

I will stick to only one variant of the M31 (still so many helmets to go ...) This one has been overpainted in a darker colour at some point...Gendarmerie ?
