New helmet came in today-- one that I have been after for a while. An Australian MK2.

Outside is a nice green textured paint. I'm guessing for Pacific or Italy theatres? Or possibly Korean war. I'll let the experts judge that.

I got this helmet because I wanted an Australian, however, I know nothing about nets so lemme know if something is amiss. I will say, I don't see any net ghosting from extended use so....

Underside is a different shade of green paint. Non-textured.

Seller claimed liner is marked ADVANX, I assume he meant AIFAXX, but I can't find that mark anywhere.

All pictures taken outside on overcast day. Internal green paint color in liner picture is actually darker than in picture. Final two pictures are more accurate representation of internal color. Thanks for reading.

Nice one, the liner could be made by Dunlop? there maybe a mark inside?
Won't be from the Italian campaign.

I've looked under each pad and on the 4 bands but nothing in sight, will do more investigations after work tonight. How does the netting look? From a few glances from online it seems decent, but if not, not a problem as the helmet was gotten for a steal anyway!

I'm not an expert on nets, but it's not like any of mine.

    Nice helmet.
The net is an Australian net. Made much thicker than normal nets - almost cord like.

Very nice helmet and I am jealous, I have the same net but mine looks just a tiny bit rougher than yours.....Australian MK2 Netted

Thanks for all the help guys! I knew it would only take someone saying "netting" to get your attention After further investigating, I finally found the maker mark. It was way up behind the pads and behind the cloth band itself. It truly is marked ADVANX

This isn't listed on this thread: Commonwealth MKII Liners

I wonder, does anyone else have this maker?
