    Looks like a WW1 British manufactured shell, with American chinstrap lugs? But I could be wrong. Looks like it is stamped HS? Did the USA fight there in WW1?

    The combination of British shell and American chinstrap loops indicate that this is most likely a m1917a1 helmet issued to the Moroccan troops who fought in the Vosges.
