The sacrifice of life is a huge sacrifice, there is only one that is more terrible, the sacrifice of honor

My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

It may also help to know who the seller is.......I know that might threaten your purchase but sadly some sellers are better know than others for the wrong reason.....
And that is particularly relevant in this case because the little bit of background I can discern in these pics is not giving me a good feeling! Also, as MAP points out these pics are far too small and of poor (low definition) quality to allow any realistic assessment.
Have a look though other threads here on any subject and you will soon see what is required.

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing he cares more about than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature with no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."
helmet is maybe 70% chance a real shell with a real liner (i've seen guys advertise "British" helmets that were just Belgian post-war refurbs) whether or not the Decal is period applied or some bloke did it in his garage is hard to say from just photographs, unless the provenance is absolutely rock solid I'd skip it unless it was cheap.
Absolutely ZERO chance of being a genuine 8th Army helmet
The seller's is a WELL known (heavy-duty churner) of made up helmets on ebay.. i have been buying and selling for yrs and yrs and even i get stung every now again.. it hurts at the time but it's a lesson learnt .. Thats why these forums are god send for everyone not just newbies
Agreed...but how many folk join/read/learn AFTER their purchase I wonder......
A great many i fear.. i have my go-to guy who has helped me out a lot from buying a duff helmet or 3
