Canadian Mk.II helmet with no maker’s stamp?

Article about: I just picked up this Civil Defence helmet. Strangely, it has no maker’s mark or year of manufacture stamped on the shell. Was this simply missed sometimes during the manufacturing process

WWII makers marks on Canadian helmets are beside/under the sheaths. Nice helmet and decal. With that please don't store the helmet with the straps up like this it will destroy the springs in the straps.

Thank you for your reply. I’m used to seeing the manufacturer’s mark and date on the underside of the rim, at the front of the helmet. Should I be looking somewhere else?

Also, I will take the chinstrap down. Thanks again!

If you use your middle picture as a guide, the weld in the same place the date and maker will be near the right side sheath.
