Cheers Aaron,
Amendments added to list
Australian and New Zealand Liners and Shell Stamps.
Last 3 are New Zealand Shells.
Here's the 1944 dated VERO liner
South African,Hemet and liner example.
Helmets were made by the Transvaal Steel Pressing Syndicate Ltd and the liners were made by Jager-Rand Ltd.
The Helmets have no known Manufacturers marks on the shell, however are easy to identify by the 3 holes drilled in rear rim,for supposed use for a Neck Flap (however no proof has been found that this ever was officially used for this purpose)
The liners were stamped on the arms with the size and Jager-Rand with a Broad Arrow within the "U" for Union of South Africa (1910-1961) and date of Manufacture.
Stamps found in Canadian Viceroy Manufacturing Company (VMC) liners.
Regards Mark
Here is a Mk1 liner which were first produced in 1937 & made by Helmets Ltd. This one is a size 7, but as you can see the owner has removed the riveted rubber buffers to make it bigger.
The size of the liners came in:6 1/4 - 7 3/4's.
The Mk2 liner introduced in 1939 had removable rubber buffers, which if you had a big head made it easier to remove these buffers.
