M1 Helmet 2nd Opinion

Hello! I found this M1 locally and would like a 2nd opinion on its authenticity. The seller states the liner is an IMP liner. The liner looks good to me as an M1 novice but I'm still unsure of the liner & shell's validity. I'm skeptical about how much corking is on the shell and the 1st Lieutenant rank paint. A 2nd opinion would be greatly appreciated!

Reconditioned shell,way OTT on the corking,plenty original Helmets out there on Ebay.if unsure post up here first before purchasing.

Had to look on google for this abbreviation and as many here have not the English/American language as their mother tongue, I guess OTT = over the top ?

Texture is nonsense. I consider all chin straps to be reproductions

OTT......over the top, an expression not used much these days !

Fine helmet for reenactors, but other than that,, I would avoid if you are looking for an original WW2 example
