M1 helmet//need assistance!! Please

HI ALL!! Havent posted on here for some time, i think the last post was back in 2009!! So i have here, a good flea market find. M1 helmet,,front seam, heat stamp 69A. picked it up for $15. Just wondering when it was produced??

You have a McCord helmet and if the number is a 69 it would be a early 1941 helmet but I think I see another number before the 6.

swivel bale? looks as if it hangs down a lot. stainless steel rim? alright for $15.
I to think a number is missing it could be the top of the curve of another number which I think marty see's as well. wish they stamped them all properly it would save us a lot of grief.
