M15 Adrian - Horizon Blue Artillery
1 of 2 Max Show Adrians
This one is a nice clean and original Horizon Blue Artillery example. Looks untouched.
Again, I'm just learning this but my best guess is that the maker probably "The Toy of Paris" based on domed rivets and shape of comb. Shell size 63cm and it has the largest liner size 59/B3 for B sized shells.
For each shell size (60cm, 63cm and 67cm) there were 3 liner sizes. For the 63cm (shells, these liners were designated as B1, B2, B3 for "B" sized shells (63cm)

My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

I know you were after one of these for a while Michael and you've landed a very nice complete example! They tend to be a little scarce as so many were repainted but when you do find one they never seem to be complete, so well done.

Thanks Andy. Yes, a hole in my collection for a while. Interestingly, this year's show had quite a few and with fair prices so I was able to pick the nicest ones.

Very nice complete example. It's done well to last so long.

Hi Map, your Blue horizon Adrian is wonderful.
A small detail, your M15 as an artillery insignia on it.
The first Adrian that I remember was in somebody's car back window, I was 10 then! That was in 1969 & I was fascinated by it each time the car drove by.
I got one a few years ago, the liner doesn't hold in the shell. That gives me the chance to have a look at it once in a while. The lining inside was often made of uniform textile, mine is from the former red (garance) trousers! The reason for the usage of that colour was economical (cheap to manufacture) & unfortunately very practical for the German machine-gunners! When I look at the lining it remind me sadly of all those poor lads sent bayonets charging in 1914.
Best Regards
Jack

Fantastic helmet, I think I've said before if I could turn the clock back these helmets would have been the focus of my collection, these days they are a bit of a minefield and you really need to see them in hand to be sure.

Thanks Jack. Not sure why my mind typed Infantry as I knew it was Artillery. I've corrected the thread.

Thanks Steve, Yes. while always harder to find in the US, the prices have really gone up for the ones you do see. I wish I would have purchased them years ago too

I think this (and a few others) came out of an old collection.

A nice example, and rarely found with the chinstrap intact.
Cheers,
