A clinker helmet,v nice.
Two fabulous MKI*s . My favourite WW2 Brodies . Thanks for showing such wonderful examples.
Totally agree.
Hi all,
Hoping somebody could help me identify this helmet, specifically the (faded) marking on the front.
Marking on the inside reads AMC 1941 C756. I understand this is Austin Motor Co. helmet but does anyone recognise or seen anything similar to the image on the front? it appears to be a shamrock with a dog like (goofy etc.) character within.
any help at all is of course appreciated.
Here my WW2 lids
First:Mk2 made by Roc 1943 with wearers name
Second is a Homefront example for the Light rescue service
Third one is postwar refurbished by the Irish
and the last one is a ex british refurbished MK1 used by the Portugese in the 1930s
My other 4 WW2 brodies were only shells
Re post #745 from NIWM41....I’m sorry but I’ve never seen a Shamrock/Goofy combo....but I can’t wait for it to start being copied by our copying friends :-)
Royal Artillery Mk2 , not flashed but going by the service number.
That's interesting, I have one almost identical !
That really is very similar, thanks for posting that up.
