new French lid

i just got this i removed the liner because it was coming off. what does it say and is the liner correct

Hi, "Carpentier" stamped in the shell is the manufacturer's name. The liner is not correct to this M1926 infantry shell. It should be leather instead of oilcloth. Also it is missing the 8 clips all around the cloth part to attach the liner to the shell. This kind of liner was used in home front helmets (WWII).
