Opinion needed on a Mk2 1939

I would like to know your opinions about this helmet.

It does look a different colour to the inside, has the nut been painted too? Also is the original paint on the outside smooth or textured, if textured its an army helmet, if smooth home front. Either way hard to tell when repainted, but most likely post war.
