Opinions on this helmet please

I think I have purchased a dodgy one, looks fabricated could I have your thoughts, mine are black paint on the top nut, strange scratching on the rim and the rust bleed looks like it may be iron fillings in the paint.

Looks like someone has gouged the paint with a screwdriver in an attempt to age the helmet. The wear looks to have been selected and is not consistent across the whole helmet.

Hi, I have to agree with Harry. Looks like a Home Front helmet that has had an over paint and then a "tapping" with a hammer!! Those "chips" are identical to each other, so putting that with the original black paint, it is a thumbs down from me I'm afraid. Leon.
