Not a bad pick. Nice to see the wire is still
    attached to the grenade.........

Steve what's the best way to remove the silver paint without hurting the original yellow paint, also this grenade has one notch on side which I think it means it was used only 1 time

Wouldn't be anything left if it was used just one time !

You could try varsol, acetone or nail polish remover
in small areas to see if any of those will remove
    the silver paint.........

    Steve.

Be careful with acetone and use only a SMALL amount on a discreet area. I recently removed silver paint off of a bayonet and scabbard and if I used to much the acetone would remove the black paint of the scabbard as well.

So just basically just put a small amount of acetone on a towel and try and rub it off?

    Yes - or a 'Q-tip'.

Try a very small area and see if the silver paint
comes off but leaves the yellow.........
