This one looks to be a British Mk 2 shell, normally SA halmets are the MK 1 type with three holes drilled to the brim
I'm OS at the min and can't reference my collection
It does look like a Brit MkII.

I cant find any makers marks on the shell,only the Jager Rand on the liner.
This was the first helmet i ever got and it came with provenance as it belonged to a family friend who was in the South African Forces in WW2.
It could be one of the last helmets that were sent from the UK before the Transvaal Steel Pressing Syndicate started manufacturing helmets in April / May 1940.
