    Hello

Here is my last find, straight from USA : an old and nice M4A2 "Flak Helmet".

I found some marks on it : a surname (?) SLIM maybe, a little "8" , for 8th Air Force, maybe and some numbers and letters inside : AS235111 (?)

How can i use this number for identify the user?

    Sorry

Not really sure what the numbers stand for. It is not a serial number.

Nice looking flak helmet, first time I have seen this version with markings on it! I believe army serial numbers were 8 digits long and this one looks incomplete at six, but I could be wrong. When checking NARA I didn't find anything, I'll post a link below to the site.

Could the second character be a 5 and not an S? That would make 7. My Uncle was in prior to 1941 and has 7 in his service number. The "A" being the 1st initial of his last name.
    Just a thought.
    Nice M4A2!!
