Swiss, but looks different from what I'm used to, could be a para one?
Thank you Tinlid. I'm not really a helmet guy but,
I'm not seeing it on Brendon's Helmets
Is this a current helmet? What time frame? Worth adding?

The helmet is on ebay as a Vintage WWII Era US Military Helmet, marked : BT80
It has less than 1 hour left if someone wants to go for it. Its not mine!!
I just found item for sale on IMA for 20 bucks but sold out.
So this is not something rare. I saw it on ebay for current bid of $20.50 and thought if special I would add it.
But it's not, so thank you for your help Tinlid.

Phil....sorry. I have never seen anything like this. Almost certainly post war...regardless of country. I would hazard a guess it is European. But where? I don't know.
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated
My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them
"Don't tell me these are investments if you never intend to sell anything" (Quote: Wife)
I had NO Idea either. But the air vents looked German, I thought maybe post war Fallschirmjäger. If so I would add that one.
With a less than an hour to go when I saw it I kind of panic and thought the easy way would be to ask the Helm experts here to ID it.
Once Tinlid said Swiss I used my Bing Fu and found that IMA was selling them for cheap.
So Thank You both for chiming in.
I was on a ebay Hunt when that was under Flak helmets!!!
Take care

Swiss M71, has the D ring for hanging and the white plastic tag that (I think) was for when the helmet was refitted with the D ring. May be wrong though
Swiss M71 as already said, lots of info here World War Helmets - Reference de casques de 1915 a nos jours.. The prices you pay are bargain for a helmet of this quality, but also tells you the level of demand.
The white disk is the owners ID disk, it has name and number.

I love these helmets, I had to get two! Also they didn't make a lot of these and will be collectable.
Nice ,
Something different
Cheers Rick
