From the pictures, looks like a nice khaki green one.
Picture of date/maker stamp?
There’s a burned / damaged section of the leather headband.....is that where the date stamp is?
...I can make out BMB....
Thanks for the quick replies, much appreciated. Apparently its marked BMB 1943 7 1/3. I'll get a photo of the stamp and upload shortly. Regards
Need a close up of the makers stamp on the liner, but looks good so far.

Whatever its just an opinion.
...just to help you Mr Edge...this is one of the most desirable WW2 Brit Military lids...and sadly, as such, they're reproduced, re-dated, re-painted etc etc...It's amazingly unfortunate how many have suffered accidental (?) damage to the last 2 digits of the date whilst the remainder of headbands are untouched....what are the chances eh? ;-)
Good luck
the form of the markings on the liner with BMB above a shield is the wartime version and I am not sure if they made any post war, but if they did the markings are different

Being khaki green, with the yellow rubber and a large size, plus dated 43, these fetch top money.
With the other stuff that comes with it, you're looking at £2000-£3000+
“other stuff”?
some denim uniforms and an 1942 smock.
