Our first child was born Dec. 21 here in Germany (Stalin's birthday, but named after Churchill) and the midwife gave us a couple of books- A Nazi guide to childrearing which recommends fear in which the mother is a "professional" and "hero" who must "struggle" against her children in an authoritarian manner in order to mould them into good German subjects and another book analysing it.
I don't know German but will try to convince a student to do the research project on it to understand it!The German Mother and her First Child

Wow, very interesting. Well, if you follow Hitler's guide, you'll raise a fine soldier that follows orders to the letter. With today's teenagers, that might not be a bad start. Good luck finding a student that will do that for you!

    Take care,
    Jay
