It was a monument to a World War I French ace...
Georges Guynemer (Paris, December 24, 1894 - Poelkcapelle-Belgium, September 11, 1917) KIA was a French pilot and fighter ace of the First World War decorated with the Legion of Honor.

This is the current monument that remembers the French pilot...
The truth is that this other one is the most visited. That is why I wanted to remember and share this small piece of history
