I am looking for what abt 5/261 and 210765/216 stand for. These were the units in which 2 German boys of 17 were who fell in eibergen on March 31, 1945. Who can help me with that?

Hi Roy.
In watch context do you get these numbers, eg are they on a document, dog tag or something else.
If possible can you upload a photo or write down the whole sequence.
But what I can say is that abt stands for Abteilung.
Kind regards,
Will
Hello Wil, all I have is a word document. With the names and numbers. The names are Richardt, Heinz abt5 / 261 and was a kanonier. Further Kraker, Harmut he was a kanonier 210765/216 they are buried in Ysselstein.

210765 and 216 looks like a Luftwaffe mobilierungs nummer and roll number of 216.
Hi Roy.
Kanonier is a term for an Artillery gunner and things along those lines, so it looks like they were potentially both in an Artillery or Flak unit.
But I’m not really sure about abt 5, because I always thought Artillery Regiments had four Abteilung = 12 batteries. (But if anyone can correct me, please do!).
I did find two entries on the Volksbund and as you say they are buried in Ysselsteyn, Niederlande.

Hello Will, I searched for number 210765. But this one doesn't occur.
I had another number on my list is 210766. It does exist.
Maybe they were in the same unit? And that the 5 is a writing error.
I have several flak artillerists on the list
MOB-Nummer : 210766
2./Fallschirm Artillerie Ersatz und Ausbildungs Abteilung, Menden
We're trying to find out if these guys belonged to the stug unit that was active in Eibergen. In Eibergen the stug has been eliminated, of which 2 crew members have been killed and in addition a boy of 17 years who had a panzerfaust. But the guards' reports don't describe anything.
this is the picture of the stug. picture is from collection B Smeenk
