    Amazing photo's Eric.
I've never been in a U-boot, only in a Dutch sub.

Too bad that I live in Holland, 'cause I would like to visit this museum too.
    Well again, nice shots!!

    Greetings, Rik
Kiel is a lot closer to you than the US.
    Go visit U-995, i recommend

    Cheers

    Hello,

The museum sold off the anchor chains by link and 1/2 link. I have a 1/2 link that has been cleaned. I will get a picture up.

    Hello,

Here are a couple of pictures of the 1/2 link that I own. I mounted this on the wood background and added a repro eagle and sub badge. The Museum took the original anchor chains and cut them up, stamped them. They sold them to help support a restoration a while ago from what I understand!

Very interesting pictures-One of the members of my Veterans of Foriegn Wars Post was a US Navy Officer in WWII and was actively involved in the capture of this Sub. His name was William Bowne and unfortunetly he passed away several years ago. If I recall this was the first navy vessel captured by the United States on the high seas since the War of 1812.
