    Gents,

I have add a picture of what I think is the 99th Infantry Regiment 6th Squadon, 10th Weapon. It is on the back strap of an Artillery Luger. I also am having problems finding the 99th Regiment during WW1. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks as always!

Ordinarily, the R read after the numerals would indicate a Bavarian Regiment. However, there was no 99th Bavarian Regiment (Infantry or Artillery).
This would then suggest the Prussian Regiment 6 (though the 6 is somewhat wonky and one would expect the regimental marking to be a one-piece stamp.
If this is the case, I cannot say what the remaining numerals would represent (perhaps, weapon 99).
These are just my initial thoughts and I look forward to more experienced interpretations.

Incidentally, the Prussian 99th Regiment was part of 30. Division, XV Corps.
