Just a quick question? WAS there a unit designated "3rd Flak Panzerjäger Abteilung 7"?

Hi William, I cannot imagine that. It does not make sense.
You are either Flak or a tank hunter. I cannot see how you can be both.
Cheers, Ade.

I couldn't figure it either. I was looking at abit of trench art and it looked too new and had this nonsensical inscription on it. Just more fake rubbish, I guess. Phony trench art...who ever would have thought it 50 years ago...

Some Pz.Jäger units did have their own Flak units. Here is an excerpt from the Lexicon entry for Pz.Jäger-Abt 7...
Panzerjäger-Abteilung 7 umbenannt. Am 19. Februar 1941 wurde die 3. Kompanie durch die 2.(Pz.J.Abt. 215 ersetzt, außerdem wurde eine neue 4. Kompanie mit 3,7-cm Flak gebildet.
Now that I can understand as a separate Kompanie.
Cheers, Ade.

So, there Was a 3rd Flak Kompanie of the Panzerjäger Abteilung 7? Now that complicates things! But thanks for the info, guys!

According to Lexikon it was 4.(Fla.)Kompanie rather than the 3rd.
Bottom line...anything engraved with "3./Fla. Pz. Jg. Abtl.7" is still Bogus then...

If it is written like that then I would say quite probably.
