A thread of period photos of Waffen-SS troops wearing different camouflage patterns during World War Two. Why? Because Camo is Cool and the SS always seemed to get the coolest kit. Secondly a resource to line up against the reproduction and deceitfully fake. For clarity always return to the source.

Trooper of 12th SS Panzer-Division Hitler Jugend, Normandy 1944 wearing Erbsenmuster (Peas Pattern) camo uniform. Sometimes called 44 dot by collectors.

For all those helmets for sale with breadbag straps wrapped around them...I think we can blame this guy for starting it.

Panzergrenadier with 12th SS PD Hitler Jugend at Normandy 1944, (cheerful face suggests this was before the Allies had landed!)

Platanenmuster helmet cover and probably smock as well.

A favorite of mine. Three camouflage patterns in view.

Waffen-SS troopers wearing Erbsenmuster and Eichenlaubmuster helmet covers. The "Pea dot pattern" was never used in a helmet cover.

Thank you, that Leibermuster was quite rare, 1945 only I believe.

Some HJ lads captured at Normandy in '44. Photo looks re-coloured but looks like Platanenmuster.
