about Soviet Great patriotic war veterans
I have a question about a "Phenomenon" I've noticed regarding Russian veterans. I am aware that it is unlikely Soviet veterans of WW2 kept much of their issued uniforms after the war was over, if anything at all. However when seen in public, they are wearing quite modern Soviet parade and service uniforms almost always from the 1969-1991 period. My question is, did the government supply them with these uniforms? or did they buy it personally from a "Voentorg" or another private matter long after their service time?
