Can anyone help me find out a little about my (other)Great Grandad

Hi sorry but this is my other great grandad Ralph Arthur Cholerton can anyone help me find out a little about him so far I have found nothing but I think he served with the North Stafordshire regiment. I think He served from 19-- to 1921.

Its hard to find out about him as his service record isn't out on the Internet.

1911 census has him in India with the North Staffs.

Excellent research Tom. I see he had a 1915 trio and the India General Service medal 1908 with Afghanistan/NWFF 1919 clasp.

One interesting point is the theatre he was serving in, in 1915. MIC states "5F", which denotes the Tochi Valley, NW Frontier.

Thanks we have the first to information sheets but not the last anyone know when he became a regimental sergeant major. Why Would he be in the Tochi ?
