Dear community,
Yesterday i have bought an jacket from the 75th Infantry Division.
There is a laundry number in the jacket and i have been able to trace it back to a sir called Donald W Fox.
How i got there was quite the story as this is my first time doing this.
I found through grave registration a Donald W Fox with service number: 06987850
The location of his grave matches the state he was living in on the service record: Virginia.
On his gravestone it says Sgt. World War II which matches the rank on the uniform.
NARA isn't really a help as alot of data is missing.
The previous owner also stated that there are sewing marks and that indicated that he fought with another unit.
I am stuck with finding out if he was in the 75th Infantry Division.
I will attach all the pictures.
