List of country houses commandeered by the military?
Does anyone know if there is a single list of all country houses across Britain commandeered by the military and put to use in the war effort, for example the SOE took over 70 country houses and Highland lodges for training personnel. Any pointers will be much appreciated

I have never heard of a master list of these?
The National Archive, Englsih Heritage, and the National Trust are the organisations which come to mind.

Couldn't find a complete list - found a few sites containing some information on requisitioned properties, which may be of interest if you haven't already seen them
