I try to find my mum's uncle. who serve America during ww2
I dont know if he was in the Pacific or Europe during the war.
he died in 1986, which is before my life time. so have not really heard so much about him.
I will ask my grandparents tomorrow if they know something.
The thins i know is:
Name: Egil Baro and I think he was born March 28, 1923.
have tried and search a bit myself but got no luck.
Any tips on what i can do ? I live in Norway so will be difficult for me to come to America.

Post more information when you can find it from your relatives and perhaps, someone here can help you trace your mother's uncle. Best of luck,

Re: mum's uncle - soldier ww2
If you know where he from, date if birth, name and where he enlisted you can find him on the national archive website. This will give you alot of info on his service. If you find out what unit, I can tell you what they did. Or clear picture of him in his dress uniform..... Be warned the archiv may not have recards on him because of the st. Luis fire that destoryed a lot of military recards. Sorry if the grammar horrible it late where I am. I will try to clear things up tomarrow if you need me to. Best of luck Franz
