Hello, are there any online resources for researching WWI and WWII British Medals?

Hello John,

In a word Yes, in the UK there are the following online resources for researching the recipient of British WW1 Medals,

1) National Archives, Medal Index Cards are black and white grouped in 6's

2) Ancestry Medal index Cards are Free to view and down load, but everything else you have to pay for or just join for a month and get your money's worth.

Remember that a good number of service records were burnt or destroyed during the Blitz in 1940.

I will leave it to the more experienced British Medal Collectors to add their thoughts on this, has it is outside my sphere of knowledge.
