Records on rescued allied pilots in Gemany during ww2
Hello,
While dealing with the tribunal files on denazification,
it came out that my grandparents were an ally of someone who had
been shot down in the area of Franconian Switzerland/Muggendorf - Bavaria .
A pilot had been picked up and helped to escape. Are there possibly Allied records
regarding pilots shot down and rescued?
Interrogation protocols from the relevant Allied authorities,
where further research can be carried out?

Research may be possible in the National Archives in the US, however more detailed information would be needed about the pilot... IE, name, unit, and other information. If the plane was shot down a report called a Missing Air Crew Report (MACR) would have been filed by other members of the unit who may have witnessed the plane go down..
