WW2 British Tank Commander Research

Hi all, i am doing some research for a friend, he said his great-grandfather, Reginald Tubb was a tank commander during the Second World War, he said he fought in North Africa and through Italy and survived the war. I was hoping someone would be able to help us find out some more information about him or point us in the right direction. Any help would be appreciated.
